i was admiring emma's post about making macarons (seriously i'm still too scared to try that) + read also about her + her sister elsie's tradition of making a list of things they want to do before their next birthday. the number of goals on the list correspond with the age you're turning. how great is that idea? so here's mine. 25 things i want to do before i turn 26 (on september 30). i wanted this list to be less like big, heavy new year's resolutions, + more tiny things i've wanted to do for ages, but haven't had a deadline pushing me to get them done.
that stain on my list is a burrito (not sorry). in case you can't read my handwriting...
1. go to an art museum
2. get a massage
3. try a new restaurant
4. try one new kind of tea per month
5. go snowshoeing
6. spend an afternoon drinking coffee + reading at a coffee shop
7. go stargazing (perferably at an observatory)
8. go on a hike somewhere new
9. go camping!
10. go on a whale watch
11. run more than a 5k!
12. sew myself a piece of clothing
13. eat from a food truck (not on the list but should be added: preferably waffles)
14. start a book club
15. host a craft swap
16. donate money
17. make cheese
18. go to a drive-in movie
19. grow flowers
20. ride a horse
21. go to a concert
22. go to a wine tasting
23. go kayaking
24. try watercolors make a cocktail
25. redo, clean, organize craft room!!!
i'm not going to kid myself by trying to do them in order. that just doesn't make sense. but each of these things is something i love (or haven't tried yet but think i'd love). just looking at the list makes me smile! some are probably going to be challenging (hello #11 + #12), but i think that makes them even more important to at least try. a lot of them seem cheap, which is nice (worth noting, right?).
i'm planning to post more about each item as i cross it off. i've already started #4, so that will be coming soon. do you have a list like this? what was the hardest one to get done?
